Finding your Band Size

  • Measurements should be taken while wearing a bra.
  • The measuring tape should be held snug but not tight while measuring.
  • Begin by measuring around the rib cage directly underneath the bust.
  • If the measurement is even add 4" and if it is odd add 5" to result in a whole number for the band size.
  • For example: If you measure 30" add 4" and your band size will be 34.
  • If you measure 31" add 5" and your band size would be a 36.

Finding your Cup Size
  • To find your cup size, measure gently around the body accross the high point or fullest point of the bustline while wearing a bra.
  • If this measurement is one inch more than your band size your cup size is an A. Two inches more than your band size is a B cup.
Three inches more and your cup size is a C and four inches more is a D cup.
  • These are general guidelines for establishing a good starting point; sizes will vary depending on what style of bra you are wearing
Please Note: These are guidelines only - If you are unsure of your size we recommend being measured by a professional!

Hints & Tips to the perfect fit!

  • The strap around your body should be a firm but comfortable fit. The strap around your body should not ride up your back.
  • Wires should lie flat against your rib cage, they should not rub, dig in or stick out.
  • Your breasts should fit into the cups with a smooth line across the top of your bust. You should have no bulging over the top or sides or any sagging material
  • Always fasten your new bra on the loosest hook. Once the bra becomes loose from wear you can move to the next notch.
  • When trying on a new bra, wear a top you would normally wear to see what shape it gives you under your clothes.
  • If your breasts are bulging out of the top or sides of the cup and the bust looks lumpy under clothing it is likely your cup size is too small. Try the next cup size until you get a perfect fit.
  • If your bra rides up your back or moves as you move it is likely that you are wearing a back size that is too big. Try a smaller back size but remember to increase your cup size if necessary at the same time.
  • If the wire sticks out at the front or digs in under the arms it is likely that your cup size is too small. Try increasing your cup size so that the wire sits flat against your body
  • If your straps dig in to your shoulders it is likely you are wearing a back size that is too big as most of the support should come from this strap around the back.
  • If your cups are wrinkling on the top and sides it is likely your cup size is too big but if it is wrinkling on the top only you may need to increase your cup size.
